Dream Journal Vol. 3: A Guy Who Had to Return to His Own Realm

This dream was also quite bizarre.

It started with a family living in an apartment (a guy, his younger sibling, his mother, and his father). I don’t really remember how it all began, but suddenly, something terrible happened in their apartment.

Somehow, they passed away one by one.

It started with the younger sibling, then the guy, his mother and father.

They all died. But as usually happens in dreams, the story didn't just end there.

They became spirits. I have no idea why, but the guy's spirit suddenly grew close to me and my friends.

It felt as though we had known each other all along. I wasn't afraid or bothered by his presence at all. In fact, it was quite the opposite, I felt really close to him.

Until the moment came when he had to leave.

He had to return to his own realm.

I remember doing something related to writing, like I was jotting something down in a book. I don't recall the exact details, but I knew that he was about to leave soon and would no longer stay in my world.

I started crying. It felt incredibly heartbreaking. He then tried his best to comfort me.

I can't quite remember his exact words, but his demeanor was so calm. It was as if he wanted me to understand that it was simply his time to go.

And somehow, right after that, the dream abruptly shifted to a school.

I was inside a classroom, attending a Japanese language lesson.

The lesson seemed to start with self-introductions. I said, "Watashi wa..." and was about to follow it with the guy's name.

But I blanked out. I completely forgot his name.

The strange thing is, throughout the entire dream, I felt like I knew exactly who he was. I even felt a deep connection to him. But the moment I woke up, his name just vanished from my memory.

All that's left is this lingering feeling that there was once a guy who lived in an apartment with his family, died alongside them, became a spirit, and somehow ended up becoming so close to me.

Until he finally had to say goodbye.
