Dream Journal Vol. 2: A 3 A.M. Station, Strange Figures, and an Unfamiliar Place

I want to continue with another dream journal entry. I can still recall quite a few parts of this one too, though as usual, the plot was totally messy and suddenly cut to a different location.

The first part started at a train station.

I don’t know which station it was. All I remember is that I had just gotten off a train and was walking along with the crowd heading toward the exit. At one point along the path, there was an area under construction. I kept following the crowd out, only to suddenly realize that my train card was missing.

It turned out Mawar had it. I went outside first to look for her and eventually found her. She was already on her motorcycle, getting ready to head home. Mawar then handed me my card. So, I had to head back to the station.

The problem was, it was already pitch black. In the dream, I knew it was around three in the morning. The station was completely deserted and incredibly dark.

I tried tapping my card at the turnstile. It didn't work.

When I checked it, the balance on the card was only about fifteen rupiahs, if I remember correctly.

I had no idea what to do. I eventually went back outside toward the street where I had met Mawar earlier, but she had already gone home.

By then, the place was much more deserted. It was pitch black, and I was all alone, completely at a loss for what to do.

Out of nowhere, I spotted a house. There was a little child there.

I walked up to her.

The little child was beautiful with long hair. I ended up chatting with her, but I’ve completely forgotten what we talked about by now. What I do know is that the conversation felt totally normal, as if I had already known her all along.

After that, I went back to the station. And the station was still exactly the same.

Incredibly dark.

While I was there, I saw a man. He was just a dark figure, and I couldn't really make out his face.

I then said to him, "Could you please accompany me to the station to tap my card? It’s just so empty and dark."

But he didn't respond. So, I just let it go and went by myself.

I reached the card machines again and tried tapping one more time. It still didn't work. I was starting to panic.

Then, I suddenly remembered that in the dream, I had just gotten paid. So, I ended up using my phone to sort things out, even though the battery was sitting at around 20%.

Somehow, I finally managed to get inside. Once I was through, there were actually quite a few people around. I felt a wave of relief because at least now I wasn't alone.

Then, an older woman approached me and seemed to invite me to sit down. I sat with her and happened to mention, "This place is so dark."

The lady then replied, "Yes, dear. That's because some of the people here aren't actually human. They're in disguise."

I immediately started paying attention to the people around me. And she was right. There were several people who looked visibly different. Their skin or bodies looked gray. It wasn't everyone, but it was enough for me to realize that what the lady said wasn't just a random comment.

Then, she started explaining something about the place. "You see, a long time ago, this place used to be..." But I can't remember the rest. Unfortunately, that part completely slipped my mind.

After that, I was back on my way to the trains. The station turned out to have a ton of tracks. I was totally confused about which train I was supposed to take.

At one point, I even found myself standing right in the middle of the tracks with a few other people. A train passed by, but thankfully, it was moving quite slowly, and there was enough space for us to stand. So, we made it out safely.

Afterward, I moved toward the path leading to a pedestrian overpass (JPO). I walked up the overpass and sat down for a bit. There were a few people there who looked like punk kids. But suddenly, security guards showed up, so we eventually cleared out.

After that, if I recall correctly, I finally found the train I was looking for.

And somehow, that part of the dream just abruptly ended.

Suddenly, it felt like I transitioned into a completely different dream.

In the next segment, I was somewhere in Jakarta with a few people. I don't know the exact location either. We were walking down the street. I was with Jihan.

We then walked past a road that felt pretty eerie.

The houses there had crucifixes on them, and there was a church too. The whole place felt dark and neglected.

I kept walking with the group.

People there started praying. They said that if you prayed in that spot, whatever wish you made would come true. I joined in and prayed too. I poured out every single wish inside my head.

After that, we were still walking along the same road, but the atmosphere suddenly shifted. This time, it felt like I was reciting Islamic praise (shalawat) along with them.

After that, I don't really know how the story went, but I was back to hanging out or going somewhere with Jihan (though I’m not even entirely sure who was actually with me at that point).

What I do remember is that we ended up walking up a pedestrian overpass. But this overpass was incredibly long.

We walked across it, and after that, I can no longer remember what happened next.
