Dream Journal Vol. 6: The School That Felt Like a Mystery
I dreamed that I was walking into an old, incredibly run-down school. Strangely enough, despite looking completely abandoned, it was still fully up and running. As I walked past the classrooms of the upperclassmen, I noticed the students looked pretty intimidating or at least, they carried an aura that made me keep my distance. It’s hard to put into words, but they completely ignored me, totally wrapped up in their own worlds.
I kept walking past their building until I hit the school courtyard. A teacher was out there with a handful of students, though the exact number is a bit blurry. The teacher was telling everyone to clear off the courtyard walls, which were cluttered with all sorts of artwork and random posters that he found annoying.
He went ahead and ripped down one of the bulletin boards. But the moment it came off, things took a deeply unsettling turn.
Hidden underneath was something that looked exactly like a human body part.
I don’t want to go into too much detail because it’s honestly pretty disturbing, but it was definitely something that had no business being there. It immediately set off alarm bells for me, it looked far too real to just be some random school decoration.
But a few students standing nearby completely brushed it off, claiming it was just a prop for the yearbook theme.
They acted completely normal about it.
Like it was no big deal!
I, on the other hand, couldn't shake this awful gut feeling. Even though they insisted it was just a prop, everything about that object, and the entire vibe of the school felt profoundly wrong.
And after that, the dream just cuts to black.
